Added Fifteen additional images of Scranton and Wilkes Barre taken in 1949 by David Klepper to the Photo Gallery page - (scroll down). He left New York City on the PRR to 30th Street Station in Philadelphia and transferred to the Market Street El to 69th Street and the LVT to Allentown. He took the Lehigh Valley to Wilkes Barre, trying to snooze in a brightly fluorescent-lit modernized coach. Stayed overnight in a Wilkes Barre hotel room on the town square overlooking the "N" departure track. He rode Wilkes Barre Railways to Nanticoke and Hanover. Took the L&WV to Scranton, rode the Southside streetcar and walked the L&WV southside freight branch. Then rode the two Green Ridge lines. He returned via the DL&W in a lightweight Nickel Plate coach to Hoboken. He was on his freshman December break and Richard Seeley, then a MIT sophomore was with him.
